Voices of LA: The Krupnick Festival of the Arts is a citywide collaborative series bringing Jewish artists together with artmakers from diverse communities across Los Angeles to create original works featuring musicians, dancers, spoken word and visual artists.

Voices of LA seeks to foster artistic collaborations that lead to powerful exchanges, meaningful dialogues and, potentially, to inspire new alliances across our city. Today, Los Angeles’ 472 square miles is home to people from more than 140 countries who speak more than 200 languages. Voices of LA hopes to move Angelenos to break down barriers, strengthen relationships, and create a culture of greater understanding and acceptance across our city using art as the medium.

Throughout July and August, the Voices of LA Summer Series will present eight free cross-cultural performances in venues across the city, featuring award-winning Los Angeles artists representing a broad range of ethnicities and cultures. This mash-up of artists highlights the incredible diversity and range of voices within our city, creating a fusion of cross-cultural traditions and styles through collaborative works of art.

On Sunday, September 14th from 11:00 am – 5:30 pm, the Voices of LA Culminating Festival will showcase each of the Summer Series collaborations, in addition to other exciting multicultural programs. This free family-friendly celebration will include a Food Stage with local chefs, programmed and hosted by Evan Kleiman of KCRW’s Good Food; interactive workshops; food trucks (kosher options); and an outdoor stage featuring performances of klezmer, mariachi, Korean and Persian music and dance, as well as other cultures of Los Angles. The festival will take place in and around the renovated and historic 1929 campus of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Koreatown.
