Closing out in style

Thank you to everyone who came out this summer to enjoy one or many of the Voices of LA Summer Series events. It was a busy July and August, with eight events spread across eight different venues throughout Los Angeles. But the energy was palpable no matter the day or the location!

With a lineup that included a cross-cultural slice of Los Angeles' top musicians, dancers, visual artists and poets, we could not have been more pleased with the incredible performances that took place these past two months.

But wait - there's more! No good festival closes out without a major splash, and Voices of LA is no different.

Join us this Sunday, September 14 from 11:00am-5:30pm at Wilshire Boulevard Temple for the Voices of LA Culminating Festival - an all-day, family-friendly celebration.

The festival is free and open to all, no RSVP required. Performances and activities will take place inside and around the historic and newly renovated Koreatown campus of Wilshire Boulevard Temple.

Not only will the festival include presentations of each of the five cross-cultural collaborations commissioned specifically for Voices of LA, it will feature additional multicultural performances, cooking demonstrations, interactive art workshops and delicious food options for all to enjoy.

Festival highlights include:

  • Klez/MexKo - an energetic mash-up of klezmer, mariachi and Korean music
  • Don Kim's Korean Music & Dance - showcasing the stunning sights and sounds of this traditional art form
  • Persian Music & Dance with Mehrdad Arabi and Najva Ensemble - an enchanting presentation of classical, folkloric and contemporary Persian music and dance
  • A Culinary Stage hosted by KCRW's Evan Kleiman - featuring some of LA's most notable chefs, including Micah Wexler, Michele Grant, Diep Tran and Terri Wahl
  • Interactive Art Workshops - learn how to make your own origami and hamsa figures
  • Delicious Food Trucks & Carts

We hope that you, your family and friends are able to join us this Sunday at Wilshire Boulevard Temple!
